We understand the power that the Internet holds for changing your life and making things easier for you. These benefits are at risk if people are concerned about their personal privacy. We are committed to providing you with an Internet experience that respects and protects your personal privacy choices and concerns.
In general, NCP, like many associations offers a "Membership Directory". We may share this information with our members, clients, employers, sponsors, affiliates, partners and advertisers, so that they may contact you and make you specific offers for products, services, employment, etc. through the National College of Physicians, Inc. (hereafter called NCP).
INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE
NCP is the sole owner of the information collected on this site. We may share this information with others in ways different from what is disclosed in this statement. NCP collects information from our users at several different points on our website.
Users wishing to sign up for NCP's services are asked to provide certain data including full name, complete mailing address, phone number and email address. Members can expect to receive periodic email communications from us. If you sign up for services that are offered by an affiliate, partner or employer, you should be advised that we are not in control of the content or use of any information you provide to or is collected by these parties.
NCP requires/requests users to give us contact information (such as their email address) and personal information (such as work histories and academic achievements). The user's contact and personal information is used to contact the visitor when necessary, and primarily used in the construction of the user's profile.
Personal data that is collected at our site may be shared with members, clients, employers, sponsors, affiliates and advertisers through our "Membership Directory". This information may be provided to members, clients, employers, sponsors, affiliates, partners and advertisers for purposes of providing and offering services to you. If you do not wish to have your name in our Membership Directory, you may contact us and we will remove all personal contact information from this Membership Directory.
NCP offers the ability to send newsletter and other content found on the website to a friend via email. NCP requires both the senders' and recipients' email addresses in order for the newsletter/article be sent. This information is stored by NCP and may become part of the "Membership Directory".
USE OF DEMOGRAPHIC DATA
NCP may ask you for demographic information to provide you with services and specific content. NCP may as you for your email address, age, and interests. If you prefer not to have your data shared with our advertisers, affiliates or partners in aggregate form, you may choose not to provide it. But please be aware that it affects our ability to provide you with services affecting your membership.
We may disclose personal information when required by law or in the good-faith belief that such action is necessary in order to conform to the edicts of the law or comply with a legal process serviced on our website.
When you register as a "new member" for the NCP website, you will be asked to provide NCP with certain information, including, without limitation, a valid e-mail address. In the event an "active" member fails to pay their annual membership fees, they will become "inactive" members. NCP reserves the right to send both "active" and "inactive" members certain email announcements, newletters, and other information that NCP, in it's sole discretion, has determined it's "active" and "inactive" members should receive.
The majority of our email communications will have instructions on how to unsubscribe so that you will not receive any future emails from us if you so choose. For example, users who no longer wish to receive certain email announcements may unsubscribe by clicking on an "unsubscribe" link in the email.
For other purposes, NCP does not have any method for completely removing a user from our database. However, you may delete the cookie placed on your browser by NCP, and you will be considered as a new visitor when you visit the site. But this may prevent you from receiving many of the services offered by NCP.
Individuals, organizations, and/or institutions that sign up with NCP as "members" will become "inactive" members if they do not pay their annual membership fees. However, both "active" and "inactive" members will continue to receive certain member publications and announcements. These "active" and "inactive" members will be unable to "opt-out" of these emails, if they have registered as NCP members.
NCP shall not be responsible for the privacy practices of the use of it's "Membership Directory" by its members, clients, employers, sponsors, affiliates or advertisers.
You will be asked to provide your email address when you sign up for services offered by NCP. This will be used for correspondence with you or to provide you with other content or information regarding NCP s website and/or services. Again, your name and email address may be shared through our Membership Directory, unless you have requested to opt-out.
